Actual Traditional artwork! Hooray!
Remember all my old characters from way back when called the "skulled warriors"? I completely forgot about them until recently and decided to create a skulled warrior character from a fictional species I created. (I'll upload proper images of my fantasy sentient later) I decided a feline inspired skull would be better, but I couldn't resist spikes. Skulled warriors are back! (you can find my old skulled warrior drawings in my old work folder, but be warned, its a dark and twisted realm) This character is female, I did a character sketch of her earlier in my sketchbook. I don't have a name for her yet, nor do I know what "The Great Mother" means...interpret that as you will. I thought it sounded cool and impressive.
I'm really hoping to upload more traditional artwork in the future. I'm really happy on how this turned out! I did not expect it to turn out as good as it did. XD The blue might be a bit intense, might have gone a bit overboard. But hey, live and learn. The markings are rather arbitrary, partially inspired by inuit walrus tusk carvings. This was so much fun, I really love this character. And I really love colored pencils, I'm falling in love with them! I did this on printmaking paper, strange enough, but it's not bad paper for colored pencils. It's rather good.
